Why the seahorse? Fitting to the bohemian concept, the seahorse has served as a metaphor for different concepts to different people throughout history. To some, the mighty seahorse was a symbol of strength and power, the association being to the sea gods. To others, the mystical seahorse embodied imagination and creativity. Still to others, a seahorse represented courage and a safe voyage. Each of these symbolic meanings is close to Boho’s heart, Interestingly, the hippocampus is named after its resemblance to the seahorse, one of the region’s functions being memory responsible for navigation. We pride ourselves in thoughtfulness when it comes to food.

Boho Special – Seacuterie Board

First introduced in 1988, the Charcuterie of the Sea has grown in creativity and popularity. We saw the inception with David Burke’s Pastrami Salmon and the concept has evolved to include a wide range of items.

Today, we offer variations of Tuna Pastrami, Salmon Napoleon, Octopus Dip, Smoked Sea Bass adds unexpected texture and flavors. This assortment is accompanied by house pickled vegetables, caper berry, trout roe and lemon oil powder. The Earth Treasure Bread is there to balance the flavor and complete the taste profile.

Andrei is an American Chef with over 10 years of experience in American, French, and Contemporary European cuisine. His first kitchen was at his family’s restaurant in Eastern Europe. During his career in the US he worked as a Sous Chef at Cavallo Point, Sausalito, 5A5, Absinthe and as an Executive Chef at Waterfront. His unconditional love for cooking and natural interest in food led him to gain a deeper knowledge and refine his skills. Chef Andrei couldn’t just implement the ideas of others; his passion has been to create dishes based on his understanding of ingredients and their compatibility. His desire is to express his inner vision of what is appetizing, nutritious and appealing. Chef Andrei believes in the benefits of fresh and healthy ingredients; for this reason, he sources only local high-quality product. It takes responsibility to feed others; one should be honest and have true love for people. Chef Andrei does, he has it all.
